Whether it’s the main menu with its signature Astro theme to celebrate the character, or CPU Plaza’s grandiose techno track and even Cooling Springs having a nice and cozy tune in its ice level. My favorite track overall, however, was the SSD Speedway, featuring sounds that match the game’s presentation perfectly. While the normal levels are fun and do not pose too much of a challenge, the suits are still a mixed bag, and therefore, only half of them are enjoyable to use, and stunted my current best time in the game.

Astro’s Playroom

The game is about playing as a survivor of a zombie infestation who must find and lead stranded civilians to safety. It’s notable for using satellite imagery from Google Earth to render its cities. At the very start of Raytrace Ruins, there are some Bots on the right playing Ninja Bots.

Astro’s Playroom Is Full Of Playstation Deep Cuts

We awarded the game a 9/10 in our Astro’s Playroom PS5 review, describing it as a “love letter to PlayStation”. Take control of ASTRO and feel the world through your DualSense wireless controller. TG88 take, every jump you make and every enemy you defeat are expressed in ways never felt before thanks to new, cutting-edge vibration technology.

Just before reaching the platform at the end, a puzzle piece will appear directly in the middle of the area that you need to grab before landing. Puzzle Piece 1/4 – After jumping past the first cannon, this puzzle piece is to the left of the handholds above. Puzzle Piece 3/4 – When crossing the tightrope while being blown to the side, jump over to the platform with the flower. Hit the flower to cause another tower to appear, which has this puzzle piece on it. Artifact 1/2 “PSVR Processor Unit” – After jumping to the top of the wall, go to the right and pull the wire to reveal this artifact.

It takes only a few moments for Astro’s Playroom to show why you’ll want to play with a DualSense, and over the course of its run time it keeps giving you new reasons. These aspects don’t fundamentally change how Astro’s Playroom plays. But they make those moments you’ve experienced before feel more interesting and immersive. It didn’t change the core of the game, but it made the overall experience better. Astro’s Playroom comes pre-installed on every PlayStation 5, so when you first start it up, you may assume it’s a tutorial designed to introduce you to the system’s capabilities.

Provides accessibility game reviews, commentary, news, and accessibility reference guides. From here, jump right through two glass panels, but instead of using the switch on the right, jump left to get onto a platform with water on it, then left again through some glass. Land inside the box here and then spring out to get the PS Move Sharp Shooter.

Puzzle Piece 3/4 – To proceed you are supposed to use the throwable item across the gap towards the next checkpoint. Instead, throw it at both of the moving areas to the right to reveal this puzzle piece. Puzzle Piece 3/4 – After the next checkpoint where you have another large ramp to slide down, this puzzle piece is up to the left across two breakable platforms. Artifact 2/2 “PS Eye Toy Camera” – On the right side of the area, defeat the enemies and jump across the small platforms to the one with the two coins and the wire pull on it, which contains this artifact. Puzzle Piece 3/4 – From the start on the right side of the area, jump to the wooden platform and pull out the three wires to spawn this puzzle piece.

It seems the special bots are integrated into the guide as opposed to being tacked on as an addendum. Either way, most guides are from when it came out, and a lot more people have a PS5 now. Those that haven’t played it have been tempted to give it a go with a second installment being announced, so an updated guide will be helpful to quite a few I would imagine. Each of Astro’s Playroom’s four worlds are representative of a part of the PS5 console, from Cooling Springs to GPU Jungle to the SSD Speedway. The different themes of the areas stand out as starkly different biomes and environments, and even within each of the levels’ four subsections, there’s a notable amount of variety.

After the level starts, proceed ahead until you reach a wire sticking out from the ground. Proceed ahead and soon you will reach the second wire sticking out from the ground as shown in the second picture below. There you will see another wire sticking out from the ground on the left side as shown in the second picture below. To rescue this special Bot, you must have completed the game and defeated the final boss. Once you are ready, head to Gusty Gateway in the Memory Meadow as shown in the picture below.

Upon touching the fourth starfish, you’ll come across the special bot, and the clue for the riddle — an arrow following a specific route. To find the special bot in SSD Speedway, head to the Bot Beach area. To find the special bot in SSD Speedway, head to the Deep Dataspace area. To find the special bot in GPU Jungle, head to the Renderforest area. Astro’s Playroom is a 2020 platform game developed by Japan Studio’s Team Asobi division and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 5. The game was created to demonstrate the features of the DualSense Wireless Controller and new PS5.

These were added just before the launch of Astro Bot, and each section of the game has its special bot to find and collect in preparation for the next game in the Astro Bot world. Start by completing the story‚ then backtrack to collect all puzzle pieces and artifacts. Use DualSense features for precise controls and check collectible lists to ensure nothing’s missed.

Find release dates and scores for every major upcoming and recent video game release for all platforms, updated several times per week. While it’s not the game’s fault, it makes every exclusive PS5 game feel like it lacks DualSense exclusivity. It’s good when you say other critically acclaimed games aren’t doing it well. That’s not to say all games aren’t doing this, as Returnal and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 used the controller capabilities to the max.
